Dale served as a Law Enforcement Officer for 21 years, working for four different agencies. During that time he held the positions of County Deputy, Patrol Officer, Captain-Criminal Investigator, Patrol Captain and Chief of Police.
Dale was elected and served two terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2001-2004, opting to not seek a third term.
Dale is proprietor of DW Gunsmithing, specializing in antique firearm restoration, and holds a Federal Firearms License.
Dale managed the Lakeshore Conservation Club, a shooting range and shooting sports facility, for three years, 2008-2010.
Dale is certified by the American Association of Certified Firearms Instructors (AACFI) to teach Permit to Carry Courses, Permit Renewals, and to qualify current and retired Law Enforcement Officers in the Use of Deadly Force so they can obtain the 50-state carry permit through the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004, also known as H.R. 218.

Tom Lund began teaching Minnesota Permit to Carry classes in 2003. He is certified as a Senior Instructor by the American Association of Certified Firearms Instructors (AACFI) and is a National Rifle Association Certified Pistol Instructor.
Tom’s professional background includes positions with several innovative companies specializing in development and marketing of technical surgical instrumentation. He has extensive experience in developing and administering education and training programs, with more than 30 years of experience in sales, sales management, education and training.
Tom, a Minnesota native, has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education from Mankato State University.
He worked as a Health Teacher, Head Track Coach and Assistant Football Coach in Blue Earth, Minnesota, prior to serving his country in the United States Air force during the Vietnam War.
